My world has changed to the worse. I went back for a vision field test today and to have the pressure checked. I have an appointment next Tuesday 21st July with another doctor. I’m not happy with the results. I don’t know what happened, why and where.I had cataract surgery 5 days ago. Sometimes I think I have to take off my contact lenses and then remember I don't need them anymore.I had multifocal lenses implanted to avoid wearing glasses for long sight. If you don't absolutely positively have to have this done don't do it. I chose the Symfony Toric intraocular lenses (high dollar) and am very disappointed in the outcome.

Two days later I was feeling off balance. I had a scleral buckle and corticoid steroid treatment for years. My eyes are a little dry but slowly self-lubricating and when properly lubricated, my eyes can see 20/20. I am 63, and I have glaucoma. I discovered and was diagnosed with a small cataract and glaucoma. I have blurriness, haloes, and debilitating glare. First, I really didn't need the surgery, my cataracts were very mild. After removal he now is nearly blind in both eyes! I am having the lenses changed end of the month. My main problem is nerve damage on one side of my knee cap.

The ocular neurologist thought dry eyes might be hindering the sealing around the IOL, so blocked my tear ducts and said to use lubricant eye drops. It did not work. It will be so good, better than my good eye, they said.

I never wore glasses for reading.
