gave me antibiotics, then prednisone then sent me to pulmonary specialist. I also said that my blood pressure went up instead of down using their drug! My blood pressure is higher and I am afraid to stop taking it and my doctor says him and his wife takes it too. Waited in Drs office three hours to update him. I am writing to say LISINIPRIL IS RUBBISH. Unfortunately, there is no way to know how a person will respond to the drug before it is prescribed. I was jarred awake at 1:30 AM because I could not swallow and was having a very hard time breathing and my tongue no longer fit inside my mouth.
I'm a single parent, its wrong that I have too go through this, and no way to no if their is a gas leak or any other smells that is bad for you and your child in your home. I eas rushed to the emergency room. And I had to stay in the hospital for almost four days before they found medications that dropped my bp back in a normal range. This medicine has made me a mess, I want my life back and I would love to hear stories of how people recovered after. She told me at a later date they going to run some tests on my liver. We need to get this off the market and stop doctors from prescribing this to patients. It is WELL known that the side effects of cough and severe reaction of swelling of the face also known as angioedema are associated with use of lisinopril. I am 80 years old and cannot believe that just my age has made me go down like I have. It is in fact one of the more safe drugs on the market, also known for it's kidney-protective effects. I also felt mentally depressed and agitated and would have balance problems in the morning when waking up. He told me up front that Lisinopril can cause a chronic dry cough in some people. I started Cough, Sneezing, and Running nose like a river.It took the kidney doctor 3 months to figure out that lisinopril could be causing my itching and rash after i started dialysis.
It can kill a fetus. DR's don't ever really listen.my dr told me a couple weeks ago I had bells palsy. In addition, I would have heart palpitations which I did not have before taking this drug and pain at bottom of my left jawline. I'm on 2.5 mg Lisinipril after a Sudden Cardiac Arrest on Dec. 1, 2015. I am trying to ween myself off and the symptoms seem worse.

They changed my blood pressure pills and told me now that I am allergic to all (ACE) inhibitors that I had been take for the past 4 to 5 years. They then put me in a drug coma for four days.Was on tenormin50 for over 30yrs,about six months ago began feeling lightheaded.my doctor stopped tenorminand introduced me to Lisionpril10mg.Am feeling veryweakand at times feel as if i would fall down.I will wean myself of this tablet and perhaps try natural cures eg garlic,cucumberand start exercising.I hope all who have posted results find a good solution to their health problemsI took Lisinopril for 2 months for high blood pressure. My symptoms lasted about 12 hours so I was one of the lucky ones with just the lip swollen. Dr. There the doctor on call read my medications and said he was sure it was the Lisinipril I was taking. If you have erections in the morning or while sleeping, the problem probably isn't physical. I've lost my appetite feel tight in my chest I feel like I'm choking all the time the cough comes so fast can't stand the gagging choking sensation.my head feels like it was hit with a bat.but had headache on other med to. Im a fairly healthy person, I maintain and decent diet and exercise regularly.I started Lisinopril 5/10/2016 I took a half on this day and half on the next.
My blood pressure is normal everytime, but I feel sick every day. As I remember as so many others you have mention; cough, itching, and weight gain. I now have alopecia areata and have large bald patches on my head. My mom had been on this drug since 2011...and this drug is what the doctors attribute all of this to...it is now almost a year later and though mom is home, she is not the same and cannot do the same things as before this ordeal....and she is only going to be 56 next month...with all of the medical issues and bills, my parents savings is now gone and they will end up losing their home...I hope some type of class action lawsuit comes about for this...I started taking 10mg Lisinopril Jan 2014 for hypertension. Then I stopped completely and all the symptoms began to go away completely. Two to three days later they began giving me liquid foods and some soft foods like yogurt but only loosened my hand restraints enough so that I could consume the liquid/soft foods and would then immediately tighten them back to zero mobility.
Called my IM Doctor and he felt that it might be my acid refluxing causing the cough and told me to take an extra prilocec before dinner.
I forced my doctor to take me off of it. My new doc had me stop the lisinopril 3 weeks ago. As part of the treatment I was receiving during those first three or four sedated days I was put on a IV drip for liquid food but was not allowed to consume any food or water.
I was in that hospital 21 days and the restraints were removed the day before I was released. I just this week read the side effects and none of my symptoms are old age!
