No noticeable mania unlike sertraline (was most likely hypomania rather than full fledged mania, was very odd but strangely enjoyable mood-wise if you exclude the bad decisions made and impulsivity) and no other noticeable side effects 3-4 months in. Yawning from the moment I wake up to the moment I sleep despite getting 8, 10 or 12 hours most nights (mainly the first two). Helped regulate my sleep schedule as makes you rather drowsy initially but now that’s barely noticeable, particularly when taken at night as advised. Still not exactly where I’d like to be, but anti depressants are never really a quick fix.
I was on 12.5 for 2 days, 25mg for 3 days, 37.5mg for 4 days, and 50mg for 4 days before checking back in with doctor. My old psychiatrist considered I had bipolar but I left shortly after this anyway so never followed it up, however this may have just been due to induced mania what with being on the wrong meds (for me, at least). It's unknown whether the drug itself causes this or, more likely, that the drug activates a previously undiagnosed bipolar disorder. For some reason, at 7 PM I took like 325mg of zoloft maybe 375mg and went from being exhausted to feeling crazy euphoria and restlessness, I was going to go to sleep at 10 and would have been able to easily but now its 3 AM and I dont feel tired at all.
